EXCELLENT CREDIT CONTROL SUPERVISOR OPPORTUNITY OFFERING UP TO £35,000

Alexander Daniels are currently seeking a Credit Control Supervisor on a 6 month fixed term contract basis which is very likely to go permanent on behalf of our client, a prominent international property investment and management company known for being one of the leaders in the UK market. This role is situated at their head office in Dudley and reports directly to the Credit Control Manager. As a Credit Control Supervisor, you will take charge of overseeing a small team of credit controllers, ensuring the efficient and effective management of credit and collections processes. We are seeking a good leader who can drive results, optimise cash flow, minimise credit risk, and foster positive relationships with valued customers. It’s important to note that the company currently follows a five-day office workweek.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Have your own ledger of key national tenants which involves handling standard credit control activities and maintaining relationships.
  • Manage the liaison with litigation solicitors.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings and provide an overview of legal matters.
  • Offer ongoing training and support to the team, assisting those who may be facing challenges or underperforming.
  • Distribute new properties/accounts to the team, ensuring an equitable distribution of ledger responsibilities.
  • Train new team members and delegate tasks within the credit control team.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Credit Control Manager to review high-level debtors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Insurance department.
  • Oversee and actively pursue resolutions for queried items.
  • Conduct ledger reviews with Credit Controllers and Asset Management (travel may be involved).
  • Assist in the recruitment process.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties delegated by the Credit Manager.

Experience / Qualifications;

  • Possess strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to take on responsibility and work independently.
  • Skilled in building, developing, supervising, and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • At least 2 years of credit control experience is required.
  • Supervisor or management experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Possession of CICM level 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential.
